Events Happening in NYC  🥳 

Good morning New York City 🏙️ 🍎 !

We are almost halfway through August and yet, it feels like it’s only June. I guess this is the age-old question but where has all the time gone?!

Existential crisis aside. This month is packed with tennis events that I’m very excited about. First things first, I want to thank everyone who came to our last tennis social at the Commodore II. We had a great time and lots of new tennis connections were made. We will have another one next month and I’m excited to see you all there!

Now let’s talk about Events 🥳 🎾 

US Open Qualifying Rounds 🎾 start in 1 week. Remember, tickets are free for the Qualifying Rounds. Plus. we are getting a group together to watch all of the action in person on August 21st. Sign up here to go to the Qualifying Rounds with a fellow group of tennis friends!

(August 24th) Tennis Tournament Hosted By Tipsy Tennis 🎾 Play in a tennis and Pickleball tournament at the Atlantic Beach Tennis and Pickleball Center on August 24th. It will go from 10 am - 10 pm and your $100 ticket includes transportation, match play, tennis clinics, access to pickleball courts, three comped meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), two complimentary drinks, and at the end, there will be an exhibition match between two pros who are playing in the US Open qualifiers and aim to make it to the main draw. This event will be amazing and is an absolute steal. You can find all of the details here to sign up. There are only 15 spots so I would sign up today. This is going very fast.

Also on August 24th, we are having a McCarren fundraiser at Brooklyn Backyard. I will be there along with a host of other people to support the McCarren courts getting officially lit up. We will have short-court tennis and have tennis matches playing on the TV. It will be a low-key hangout where you can meet and socialize with fellow tennis players and support your favorite courts. You can sign up here! All ticket sales go directly to the McCarren courts.

STAY TUNED FOR A US OPEN WATCH PARTY! There will be three different US Open watch parties scattered across the city. I’m working together with Anna from AD-IN and the USTA to help set these up. More details to come!

Recurring Events! 🎉 

• Tennis on the track - One of my good friends is hosting a weekly fitness class at McCarren Park. Come work out @ 6 pm every Tuesday and grab drinks after.

  Location: McCarren Park Track at the start of the track next to the Calisthenics Park.

  (Saturday, 11 am and Monday 7 pm weekly)

Tennis Todo List 🪩 🎾 

With the US Open happening right around the corner. All of your favorite tennis brands will be doing pop-ups leading up to the tournament. I will do my best to update everyone next week on tennis pop-ups you can do in the city. I know that New Balance, Lacoste, ON, Wilson, Tecnifibre, and even T-Mobile will be hosting events. These are always fun experiences to check out with a group of friends. August is the peak month for tennis in NYC and there will be so many fun ways to connect with the sport!
